We're a small team and we answer fast — usually within one business day for product and billing. Safety alerts go to your family circle, not a call center.
Does my parent need an Apple Watch?
No. Most features — Help/SOS, activity, check-ins, medications, the family map, and location sharing — work with just their iPhone. Suspected-fall attention with the spoken “Are you okay?” check is part of WellChime Complete (supported Apple Watch hard-impact signal). An Apple Watch also adds live health monitoring like heart rate, blood oxygen, and sleep.
Is WellChime available on Android?
Not yet. WellChime ships on iPhone first (with optional Apple Watch). An Android version is planned; there is no waitlist to join in the meantime — we will announce it on wellchime.com and in the app when it is ready.
Will WellChime call 911 in an emergency?
No. WellChime sends alerts to your family and shows each recipient’s recorded delivery status, but it is not an emergency service and does not contact responders. In an emergency, always call 911.
Who responds when someone needs help?
Your family circle. Suspected-fall and Help alerts go to the people you invited — with a server record of whether each push was accepted. WellChime does not staff a monitoring center, escalate to 911, or promise a timed human response from our team. Family members decide how to help.
How fast does support answer?
Product, billing, and privacy email usually gets a reply within one business day. That is separate from safety alerts: those notify your family immediately via push, not the WellChime inbox. We do not publish a 24/7 on-call SLA.
Is there a status page?
Not yet. If something is broadly down, we will say so honestly by email or on the site. We do not link a status page that does not exist.
How much does it cost?
WellChime Free is free forever for both parents and the invited family. Our Complete pricing plan adds supported suspected-fall attention + voice check, all supported health signals and baselines, family medication alerts, safe zones, and shareable reports. The U.S. reference price is $249/year ($20.75/mo equivalent) or $29.99/month through Apple; the localized App Store price shown at purchase is authoritative. The 30-day Complete-plan trial returns to Free unless your family chooses to subscribe.
Can my parent turn sharing off?
Yes, always. Your parent controls what is shared and can pause monitoring or location from their own phone at any time. Consent is the foundation of WellChime.
How do I cancel?
Open your Apple ID subscription settings from the WellChime Account screen or iPhone Settings, then cancel WellChime Complete. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; your family keeps WellChime Free.
How is my family’s data used?
Family and health data supports the WellChime service and the sharing choices each person makes. WellChime is subscription-funded and advertising-free. See our Privacy Policy for details.
