WELLCHIME VS FALLCALL

WellChime vs FallCall

FallCall and WellChime both use the Apple Watch and iPhone your parent already owns, but they handle a fall very differently. FallCall sends it to a professional monitoring center. WellChime sends it to your family, along with the rest of the day’s picture. Here’s how they compare.

What FallCall does well

FallCall is a true medical-alert replacement. Its app-only central monitoring plan (about $17.99/month on FallCall’s App Store listing as of October 2026; check fallcall.com or the App Store for current pricing) includes a real 24/7 emergency monitoring center with trained dispatchers. If what you want is “a professional answers when Dad falls, day or night,” FallCall does that and WellChime does not.
It has years of Apple Watch experience and pendant/wristband options for parents who don’t wear a watch. Connected accessory plans on their App Store listing (October 2026) publish about $9.99/month for caregroup-only help calls and about $19.99/month for caregroup plus 24/7 monitoring. It’s still a medical-alert product priced per monitored person, rather than a plan for the whole family.

WellChime is built for the family: both parents on one plan, unlimited invited family, a shared calendar with RSVPs, family check-ins, Family Chat, and medication schedules. Our Complete pricing plan adds suspected-fall alerts with an “Are you okay?” check, health signals read against your parent’s own baseline, and routine patterns like “quieter than usual for three days.”
A dispatcher answers an emergency. A family can notice something is off the week before. WellChime is for those everyday questions: did Mom check in, is her routine off, did she RSVP to Sunday lunch? It’s free for the whole circle.
Medications get a live refill countdown, too: record how many doses are on hand and WellChime shows about how many days of supply remain, free on each member’s own list. With the Complete plan, the family gets one refill heads-up when the supply gets down to about five days.
The Complete plan also includes the Talk to WellChime assistant. Start it with a tap, the Action Button, or a double-tap on the back of your phone, and ask out loud: “Who’s picking up Dad Thursday?” or “What is Mom taking?” It answers from your family’s own WellChime records, so it isn’t guessing.
Coverage Truth: WellChime always shows whether monitoring is working right now (covered, partial, gap, or unknown). We’d rather show you a gap than let you assume protection that isn’t there.

Pricing

FallCall: app-only with 24/7 monitored response, published around $17.99/month per monitored person as of October 2026. Connected pendant/wristband plans publish around $9.99/month (caregroup only) or $19.99/month (caregroup + monitoring). Check their App Store or Google Play listings for current plans.
WellChime: Free forever for both parents and unlimited family (presence, activity, check-ins, calendar, family map, manual Help). Our Complete plans are Complete Family at $249/year ($20.75/mo equivalent, SAVE 31%) or $29.99/month for the whole circle, or Complete Individual at $9.99/month ($79.99/year) for one person, via the App Store. They add suspected-fall alerts with voice check-in, Talk to WellChime, all health signals and baselines, patterns, family medication alerts, place alerts, and doctor-ready reports. Apple’s localized price is authoritative.
If you need a monitored dispatch center, FallCall is the better fit, and some families use both. Complete doesn’t replace FallCall’s dispatch service. It covers the family side: everyday life and alerts with delivery records.

What WellChime doesn’t do

WellChime is not an emergency dispatch service. We never call 911 for you, and we don’t staff a monitoring center. When something needs attention, WellChime alerts your own family and records whether it reached each person. Calling 911 is still one tap away, and that call is made by a person who knows the situation.
No system detects every fall, including ours. WellChime shows you clearly when monitoring is working and when it isn’t. We call that Coverage Truth, and it’s the part of WellChime we’re proudest of.
