Does WellChime detect every fall?
No — and we won’t tell you otherwise. A supported Apple Watch hard-impact signal becomes a “suspected fall” with a spoken check; the family is alerted with delivery records if it goes unanswered.
Does WellChime call 911?
No. Alerts go to your family with their delivery status shown. Calling emergency services stays a human decision, and the Help flow includes a direct way for the member to call 911 themselves.
What’s free versus part of the Complete plan?
The Help button every member can press is free. Our Complete pricing plan adds the supported suspected-fall signal, the spoken “Are you okay?” check, and family alerts with delivery records.
What does “suspected fall” actually mean?
A supported hard-impact signal, not a certainty. It triggers a spoken check; an answer cancels it, and continued silence moves it into the family attention flow.
What happens when an alert goes out?
It chimes on every family phone and stays front and center until someone attends to it, and the event, its delivery records, and the family’s response all stay together.
Does my parent need an Apple Watch?
The Help button works on the phone alone. The supported suspected-fall signal uses an Apple Watch worn on the wrist.
